English: Sea-buckthorn Hippophae rhamnoides, Gullane, East Lothian. These bushes densely covered with orange berries make a dramatic sight along this section of the coast. The species is of the family Elaeagnaceae and is unrelated the ordinary Buckthorns. There are separate male and female plants, the latter of course carrying the berries.
