State of Kazakh localisations
өңдеуHi Stonesuite. I see that you are an active editor at the Kazakh language Wikipedia. Thank you for contributing to *the* online knowledge base in your language. You may have noticed that in the past few year things have changed in MediaWiki, the software Wikipedia uses, and that some of those new functions are not available in Kazakh. This is because for a long time no maintenance has been done on the Kazakh localisations. I think that is a shame, because the user experience for readers of the Kazakh language Wikipedia is reduced, as well as the experience of you as an editor.
I would like to invite you visit translatewiki.net, where all of the translation work in the MediaWiki interface is done and help get the Kazakh localisations back up to date. Hope to see you there soon! Siebrand 16:13, 2009 ж. тамыздың 22 (ALMT) (translatewiki:User:Siebrand)
Translation of a short story
өңдеуHi my friend!
I would like to request something from you. Yes, translation. I hope, it's not a bad thing for you. Some years ago I wrote a (really) short story about a lonely man (actually symbolized the Saami nation). I translated into some languages and I thought, it would be great to have it more, like also in Kazakh :) I made this page, the English / Russian translation is somewhere there. You can put the Kazakh translation there. We have now already a Turkish, a Chuvash, a Tatar, a Bashkort and az Ozbek version. Thank you again! Sorry for my disturb... :( - hu:User:Eino81
Уикипедияны танымал қылу
өңдеуҚұрметті Stonesuite! Менің ойымша қазақша Уикипедия туралы үндеу дайындап, оны Мой мир-дағы қазақтардың сообщества-ларына және ұлтжанды қазақтардың сайттарындағы форумдарға шығару қажет. Соған үндеу дайындасақ қалай болады? Әйтпесе 5-6 белсенді қатысушылармен біздің Уикипедия дамымайтын сияқты. Қатысушы:Kaiyr
Translation request for Шалом (Қазнет).
өңдеуCould you check the article Шалом (Қазнет). There is already an article about Şalom, a Jewish weekly newspaper in Turkey, not in Kazakh but in English, but could you check it and translate it from the other Wikipedia language sites, if you have the time and patience to do so. The reason is that the newspaper Şalom is written (alas one page only) in a highly endangered language called Ladino or Judeo-Spanish, the Spanish of the 15th century. Perhaps this might gain your interest and sympathy.
Thank you.
